Senior Bankers Cruise the West Coast
Twenty-one CB&T/Citizens Bank & Trust Senior Bankers cruised the Pacific West Coast recently. After a cross country flight from Atlanta to Vancouver, BC, the Seniors landed on Canadian soil to enjoy overnight accommodations and a tour of the beautiful city of Vancouver before boarding the Norwegian Pearl cruise liner bound for their ultimate final destination in Los Angeles.
After exiting the Canadian port, the ship headed out to sea. Due to unpredictable stormy weather in the northeast, the angry Pacific gave the travelers an interesting yet enjoyable voyage to their first port in San Francisco. Many of the Middle Georgia travelers enjoyed a side trip to the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge. Views of the beautiful city of San Francisco, Alcatraz Island and other interesting sites to the City by the Bay provided a wonderful experience for many in the group that were first time visitors to the state of California.
After an exciting day at sea aboard the Pearl, the cruise liner finally docked in Los Angeles. The Middle Georgia travelers were transported to the famous Farmers Market in LA for lunch and shopping. Next, a guided tour allowed the group to tour LA, Hollywood, & Beverly Hills. The Hollywood Walk of Fame, Historic Hollywood sign on the surrounding hillside and trip down Rodeo Drive were some of the highlights of this southern California stopover.
The West Coast Cruise ended with a flight back to Atlanta and ground transportation back to Middle Georgia. Travelers were left with great memories of the Pacific West Coast and began to look ahead to the adventures of 2014. A late May trip to Hawaii, a late August trip to Alaska and an October Fall trip to Niagara Falls are on the agenda for next year’s exciting adventures. Don’t get left out!
